In the 1841 census, Jane is living in Clampitts, Cullompton with Grace Aze (15), William White (50), Elizabeth White (50) and 4 others with the surname White age 8-20, assumed to be William And Elizabeth's children.
William White was the informant at Samuel Aze's death in 1839 and Elizabeth White was the informant at the death of Samuel's daughter Ann in 1840, so the couple were clearly close friends of his family. It is very likely that Jane and Grace were children of Samuel who lived with the Whites following his death.
