Mary Jane appears in the following records:
There is no "Mary Jane Aze" in the 1891 census. However there is a "Pollie Aze", age 34, living with her father William Aze. This is the same age Mary Jane would have been at the time of the 1891 census and there are no other records of a "Pollie Aze", or William Aze having any other children, so it is assumed that "Pollie" is in fact Mary Jane going by another name. Polly or Pollie was a nickname for Mary in Victorian times.[3]
